Art religion

a well-established church preaches to the rich an obsessively closed, recessively masturbatory, self-congratulatory message. as usual, a dull, lifeless sermon calling itself disruptive and disrespectful, consequently inspiring in its more curious parishioners questions of tradition, art, purpose, intent, the future... questions. the burden of belief is a preexisting state lying fully in the believer.

on the other hand, a truly disruptive and disrespectful author (in terms defined by the well-established church), being and feeling present at the opening of a new, small chapel in brooklyn. The Making of Americans: a veritable modern bible. here, belief is more fluid, and embodied in a practice.
